DragonBoard USA submitted standard 9/16" and 11/16' DragonBoard construction panels to Southwest Research Institute's Fire Technology Department for additional testing. These tests are designed to measure Floor/Ceiling fire protection as required by New York City's Housing Preservation Dept. Tests require a 2-Hour fire separation over wood framing (wood is common in many of NYC's historic and non-historic edifices. DRAGONBOARD exceeded the 2-hour requirement, withstanding temperature exceeding 1850 degrees F.
